More drug pushers fall

ONE SUSPECT TRIED TO EVADE ARREST

THREE suspected drug personalit­ies in the Cordillera were collared over the weekend by elements of the Police Regional Office Cordillera.

Police arrested Ryan Garatta Billedo, 18, a resident of Legaspi Street, Zone 3, Bangued and Gary Bolor Valera, 32, both unemployed, and residents of Cabuluan, Bangued on August 13at Arellano Street, Zone 3, Bangued, Abra.

Confiscate­d items were five pieces plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, assorted drug parapherna­lia, one caliber .38 revolver loaded with five ammunition, two can with 250g of butane gas with one blow torch nozzle, one green can of butane gas, and one mobile phone.

The pushers were arrested by virtue of a

search warrant issued by Judge Raphiel F. Alzate, Presiding Judge, RTC, Branch 1, Bangued, Abra.

In Baguio City, Jose Sotiangco Rualo Jr. and two drug users identified as Luis Tamolang Camba and Ariel Ander Oligario were arrested on August 10 at Bubon, Loakan Proper, Baguio City in a buy-bust operation.

During the operation, Rualo tried to evade arrest after handling a sachet of illegal drugs to one of the operatives who acted as a poseur buyer.

A brief chase was made until he was arrested inside the house where Camba and Oligario were caught in the act sniffing shabu.

Seized from the suspects were 12 sachets of shabu, assorted shabu parapherna­lia, pair of Philippine Army uniform, firearms license card of Erwin Rio Luga and calling card of General Vicente Loot.

“PRO - COR will continue intensifyi­ng the campaign against illegal drugs, illegal gambling, loose firearms and other forms of criminal activity as there are still people who continue to wittingly violate the laws. The public are also urge to report to the police any criminal activity that happened in their community to pre-empt any possible damage or injury to anyone and ensure the immediate arrest of law violators,” said regional director and Chief Superinten­dent Francis Sarona following the string of arrest during the weekend.

PRO-COR also strengthen­ed its antigambli­ng efforts with the arrest of Johnny Colas, 48; Joshua Tindongan, 19, both constructi­on Worker; Angelo Fortunato, 21, and Mark Lawrence Rimando, 27, both unemployed, and all residents of East Modern Site, Aurora Hill were arrested at No. 117 East Modern Site, Aurora Hill, Baguio City.

Confiscate­d from their possession were 52 red plastic playing card, one piece yellow plastic chair/ bench, and bet money amounting to P110 on August 12.

Another four gamblers were also arrested in the afternoon of August 9, 2017 in Brgy. Siblong, Bucay, Abra identified as Edgar Balderas Bicera, 48, utility worker and a resident of Brgy. Bogbog, Bucay; Juan Paringit Todiño, 76, and a resident of Brgy. Siblong, Bucay, Abra; Teodulfo Almienda, 65, driver and a resident of Brgy. Layugan, Bucay, Abra; and Jesus Torres Tuscano, 65, Barangay Kagawad and a resident of Brgy. Poblacion, Bucay, Abra.

Confiscate­d from their possession, were two sets of mahjong, four dice and bet money amounting to P830.

The arrested gamblers were identified as members of the unlisted “Bicera Group” headed by “Edgar” as their leader who is running the illegal gambling activity in the area.

In the early morning of August 10, Willie Princer, was likewise arrested in his resident at Barangay Mudiit, Dolores, Abra for illegal possession of firearms.

Items seized in his residence were one caliber .45 pistol ARMSCOR with expired firearm license card, one firearm box, 14 ammunition­s for caliber .45, and two short magazine for caliber .45. Roderick Osis
