Pacatiw pulls off impressive win
JEREMY Pacatiw leaned on his striking skills and impressive ground defense to stop Thiago Dela Coleta in Brave Combat Federation 8: Rise of the Champions in Curitiba, Brazil.
The Team Lakay fighter and Dela Coleta immediately engaged each other in a striking match with Pacatiw landing crisp combinations against his Brazillian foe.
Dela Coleta pinned Pacatiw to the cage midway in the first round but Pacatiw, with their improved ground game made a daring submission attempt as the Brazillian escaped a potential rear naked choke with nearly less than a minute left in the opening bell.
In the second round, Pacatiw and Dela Coleta picked up from where they left off as they trade strikes.
Pacatiw tried to take down his Brazillian opponent but Dela Coleta countered and pinned him anew to the cage and tried to control the visiting Team Lakay fighter.
With both fighters trading blows, Pacatiw landed a shot to the body that halted the bout with less than 30 seconds remaining in the second round.
With the win, Pacatiw earned his second straight victory in Brave CF after a disappointing debut in December 2016 in a unanimous decision loss against Hamza Kooheji and improved to 3-1 while Dela Coleta slid down to 3.
In the main event, Klidson de Abreu emerged victorious
against Timo Feucht.
Klidson won the light heavyweight championship title with an armbar submission in the second round while Carlston Harris raised the welterweight championship title in one of the biggest upsets in the promotion’s history.
Entering the fight as an underdog, he controlled the much experienced and stronger for five rounds to win the fight by unanimous decision. Roderick Osis
