Support pours in for ailing mother in Goshenland football for a cause

GERMANY bound Aerol Tenollar dished out another MVP performanc­e but his team Baguio City High School fell short of topping their division at the close of the one day Cordillera Gosheland Football Club (CGFC) tournament for a cause during the weekend.

Despite winning the MVP honors, City High vowed to a more experience­d University of the Cordillera­s squad who took the top honors in the men’s open category while the 17 under boys category saw Lubas, La Trinidad winning the crown with the MVP going to Datu Padcayan.

Regina Aliping meanwhile took home the MVP honors in the 17 under girls category with CGFC snatching the crown.

BCHS Dream Team also bagged the 15 under crown with Ivan Silva winning the MVP honors while the distaff side saw BCHS Girls topping the contest with Raven Bungay winning the MVP honors.

Coach Aries Bocalan

said the tournament saw close to 100 participan­ts coming from Baguio and Benguet in the one day golf for a cause at the athletic bowl hoping to help the ailing mother of Joshua Dulatre.

“We have collected P4,000 during the tournament, although maliit siya, malaking tulong na rin siguro eto para asa mom ni Joshua para mapatangal yung gallstone,” added Bocalan who also lauded the help of city sports coordinato­r Gaudencio Gonzales and Bonifacio Elementary School principal Esther Litilit for the playing venues.

In the side event 3vs3 futsal at the Bonifacio Elem. School, Quezon bagged the crown in the 8 under division with Doña Aurora and Baguio Central salvaging second and third place respective­ly.

In the 10 under category, Baguio Central took home the crown edging Quezon Elementary School A, and Crystal Cave who all settled for second and third place.

Crystal Cave meanwhile won the 12 under division with Doña Aurora, Quezon, and Baguio Central placing second, third, and fourth in exact order.
