3rd Art x Fusion set

THE CORDILLERA Mindanao art connection continues here with the mounting of the 3rd Art X Fusion, an art exchange activity between Baguio and Davao City artists slated on Sept. 1-3 in the city.

Dubbed “Pasa-Kalye Art X Fusion 3 Baguio Day Art Convergenc­e,” the event will feature the Cor-Min Exchange, an art exposition and the Fas Plein Air Art on-the-spot painting with Freedom Art Society.

Entreprene­ur Maricar Docyogen coordinato­r of the Pasakalye project said 30 artists from Davao City will pay a return visit to the city following the successful Art X Fusion Cor-Min Exchange event last May in Davao City.

The visiting artists will interact with local artists to continue the exchange of insights and expertise between the two regions.

They will also join the Baguio Day festivitie­s and will visit arts destinatio­ns in the city including Tam-awan Village, UP Museo Kordilyera, Ben Cab

Museum and the Dapayan at the PIA-cAR.

Docyogen said they aim to make the event a continuing feature of the Pasakalye project which “serves as a platform for artists in the community to converge and synergize for exhibits, community works and exhanges with other areas to enrich and preserve arts, heritage and culture of the Cordillera­s.”

The activity is supported by the Barista Creatives, City Government of Baguio, Department of Tourism Cordillera, Philippine Informatio­n Agency Cordillera University of the Philippine­s Baguio, REV-Bloom, Tamawan Village, BenCab Museum, Bookends, Baguio Country Club, Lucky Sign, Tambalang Z Radio and Davies Paint.
