P.5M shabu seized, three busted
BIGGEST DRUG HAUL FOR 2017
IN OTHER parts of the country, suspected illegal drug pushers are summarily executed, however, in the case of Baguio City, these peddlers will still be given their day in court.
Authorities scored the biggest illegal drugs haul after confiscating 105 grams of shabu worth P525,000 after three drug personalities were arrested in a sting operation by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Cordillera region together with the Baguio City Police Office Drug Enforcement Unit and BCPO Station 9 at Purok 7, Asin Road, Irisan, Baguio City Sunday afternoon.
The suspects were identified as Brian Leonille Valdes Dris, alias Tisoy/Junel, 30, online seller/ESL teacher, and a resident
of Asin Road was collared together with Aaron Paul de Guzman Vergara alias Nikko, 26, resident of BGH Compound and a 23year old woman who is a resident of Asin Road.
The trio were busted when Dris sold a heatsealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu to an undercover agent in his rented apartment. Upon his arrest, the drug enforcers chanced upon Vergara and the woman having a pot session.
Seized from the suspects during the operation, aside from the dangerous drug sold by Dris, were two more heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected dried marijuana leaves, several drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust money.
It can be recalled Vergara, who is out on bail, has a pending case for violation of Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) of Republic Act Number 9165, otherwise known as the "Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002".
The suspects, who are temporarily detained at the PDEA-CAR detention facility, will be facing cases for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Section 11, Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia) and Section 15 (Use of Dangerous Drugs) of R.A. 9165. Roderick Osis
