Acetylene gang members nabbed

TWO OF Baguio City’s top most wanted person, including 11 other were collared by members of the Baguio City Police Office in their one time big time operation on August 24.

Kimbo Sagalto, a member of the notorious acytelene gang who robbed more or less P1.5 million worth of assorted jewelries and cash during the heist inside the HL Henry Lhuillier Pawnshop in Sta. Cruz, Ilocos Sur committed sometime on November 2016 was arrested on August 24.

According to police reports, the suspect, was arrested in Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet by personnel of BCPO Station 10, CIDMU and Benguet Provincial Police Office by virtue of a

warrant of arrest for robbery

BCPO city director Chief Supt. Ramil Saculles said the accused is listed as the number eight top most wanted person of Station 10. The suspect however was later freed after paying cash bond for his temporary release.

Gerald Baydo Y Coteng Alias Todyog who is wanted for robbery was also busted by authoritie­s on August 24 at Middle Quirino Hill, Baguio City by joint operatives of Police Station 10, and PIB, Benguet PPO.

The accused is also a suspected member of acetylene gang and is listed among the top most wanted of Police Station 2.

The suspect was also temporaril­y released after paying his cash bond.

Eleven wanted person were also nabbed by authoritie­s on the same day. Editha Pe Laban, 59, married, business woman, was arrested for estafa while operatives of Police Station 4 served the warrant of Arrest of Adon Solomon Longid Carantes, 26, single, call center agent at Convergy’s located at Camp John Hay, Baguio City, for violation of Sec. 5 (a) of RA 9262.

Elements of Station 5 meanwhile collared Germelina Abance Y Aquilino for estafa, Elisa Panis y Almoite, 57, married, housewife, for violation of PD 1602, and Anito Abaigar Y Albina, 47, married, constructi­on worker for violation of PD 1602 as amended by RA 9287.

Meanwhile joint operatives of Station 7, Station 5, CIDMU, and CPSC arrested Allen Disoma Aka Saipoding Mangondaya Desoma, 19, single, unemployed, a resident of 101 Dr. Carino Street for theft while a 17 year old from Camarines Norte was also collared for theft who was later turned over to Silungan Center.

Meanwhile, a composite personnel of Police Station 10 , Police Station 7 and PIB, Benguet PPO served the warrant of arrest of John Dugao y Baguiwet Jr. alias Junior, 49, married, a resident of No. 135 Chrome St., Upper Quezon Hill charged for robbery.

Dugao is believed to be a part of the acetylene gang who robbed a pawnshop in Ilocos Sur together with Sagalto and Baydo.

Others who were arrested during the BCPO’s one time big time operation are Jo Ann Mabitazan for violation of Section 5(i) of RA 9262; Rhea Amor Todyog Cacay, 31, married, for theft and Moctar Antonio Javier, male, 46, constructi­on worker, married, for violation of section 5(1) of R.A. 9262.
