TO show their support, the Cordillera School of Digital Arts, Inc. (CSDA) participated and hosted the 2017 Regional Skills Competition (RSC) held on From August 15 to 18. Technical Education and Skills Development Authority-Cordillera Administrative Region (TESDA-CAR) spearheaded this competition.

According to TESDA, the objective of the competition was to showcase and encourage technical, vocational, and work values among skilled young adults and teenagers from the provinces. Also, the objective was to fortify close cooperation and rapport between the government, industries, employers’ and workers’ organization, and vocational training institutions. Finally, the objective is to develop and new generation of highly skillsed Filipino workers, thereby creating a platform to choose Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) participants to the Luzon Zonal Skills Competition.

Opening ceremonies were held in Benguet Electric Cooperative, Inc. (BENECO) building, along South Drive. The staff of TESDA welcomed the competitors cheerfully with a hearty smile. On a side note, the Cordillera School of Digital Arts, Inc. (CSDA) decided to host the competition for Graphic Design Technology in support of the TESDA Skills Competition. Also, we’re more than happy to announce that our very own Mr. Jake Bantogon bagged a bronze medal for Graphic Design!

In the end, this competition does not just polish one’s skills and abilities, but it also shapes character and builds on one’s values. Aside from the improving of graphic design skills, the competitors learned the importance of values and life skills such as hard work, determination, focus, sportsmanship, and excellence.
