Pharmacy robbery caught in CCVT

THE IMPORTANCE of a close circuit television or CCTV has proven to help determine the identities of theives who entered a pharmacy in La Trinidad, Benguet.

At least two minors are now the subject of a man hunt operation in the valley after forcibly robbing a pharmacy early morning of September 29 and carted away P40,000 in cash a cellphone with undetermin­ed value

In a police report, the victim was identified as Vilma Quilop Agana, 46, married and resident of DB-72 Mae, Bahong, La Trinidad.

According to pharmacist Mary Grace Labinio Botangen, 22, of PA308-B Upper Wangal, La Trinidad,she left the locked the pharmacy at 8:00 PM of September 28.

Upon her return the next day, Botangen noticed their belongings in disarray prompting her to inform the owner of the pharmacy.

The victim conducted an inventory and discovered one cell phone with undetermin­ed value and estimated P40,000 in different denominati­ons kept inside a cash box was missing .

Fortunatel­y, the cash amounting to P100,000 which was placed inside a folder and left atop the same table intended to purchase medicines was not taken.

A review of the CCTV installed in the area revealed the robbery took place around 1:31 a.m. of September 29 where two minors entered the pharmacy coming from the comfort room.

The suspects forcibly cut the window grills of the comfort room which was used as entry and exit point.

Authoritie­s added the suspects also covered the CCTV installed at the entrance of the comfort room and removed all plugs inside the pharmacy.

Police are still conducting a follow-up operations on the identities of the suspects
