Bato to be adoped as Cordi son

The Cordillera­s is set to adopt Philippine National Police Director General Ronald Dela Rosa as a son of the mountains at Camp Bado Dangwa.

Dela Rosa will grace the 116th Police Service Anniversar­y today as guest of honor in ceremonies giving honor to men in uniform themed “Buhay ng Pulis, Handang Ibuwis para sa Katahimika­n at Kaayusan ng Bayan.”

Cordillera police is continuous­ly intensifyi­ng its campaign against drugs, gambling and criminalit­y with the arrest six suspects for various crimes in separate suc-

cessive police operations in the region.

In the province of Abra, Police operatives arrested two drug users inside the Tinggian Lodge in Calaba, Bangued, Abra on October 4 after being tipped off by concerned citizens who that suspects identified as Liezel Sagman Sabado, 22, presently renting at Tinggian Lodge, Calaba, Bangued, Abra and Melchor Navarro De La Paz, 48, tricycle driver, and a resident of Consiliman, Bangued were having a pot session inside their room.

Responding personnel arrested the suspects and confiscate­d two plastic sachets of suspected shabu and assorted drug parapherna­lia from their possession.

In a separate operation on October 2, two gamblers; Jojo Piosca Arde, 24, businessma­n and a resident of Brgy. Santa Rosa in Bangued and Jimmy Custodio Allopog, 43, farmer and a resident of Brgy. Namarabar, Penarrubia were arrested while in the act of playing a coin game at Barangay Sta Rosa which yielded the confiscati­on of the bet money amounting to 507 pesos.

In Tabuk City, Kalinga, A drug pusher Identified as Gunnaban Guaves, 33, vendor, and a resident of New Tanglag in the city was arrested in a buy bust operation, October 3 at Purok 5, Bulanao.

Seized from his possession were two small heat-sealed transparen­t plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and buy-bust money amounting to 1000 pesos.

Still in Tabuk City, John Luminio Malidom, 39 and a resident of the city was arrested for illegal possession of firearms on the same day at Purok 7, Bulanao.

Malidom was with Eric Wagsingan and another person when police operatives who were about to serve Wagsingan’s warrant of arrest, he eventually evaded arrest.

However, police got hold of Malidom and seized a caliber .22 rifle with a magazine loaded with two rounds of ammunition.

All arrested suspects and seized items are now under the custody police while charges are being filed against them in court.
