Measures up for public consultati­on

FIVE proposed ordinances mainly on traffic and road concerns will be subjected to public consultati­on on Oct. 18 at the Multipurpo­se Hall Baguio City Hall.

These are Proposed Ordinance No. 69-17 introduced by Coun. Lilia Farinas entitled “Amending Sesion 1 (Speed Restrictio­n), Article X of the Transporta­tion and Mtraffic Ordinance of the City of Baguio and hereby Declaring Areas in the City to be Establishe­d as ‘Strictly No Speeding Zones’ or ‘Slow Speed Zones;’”

Proposed Ordinance No. 76-17 by Coun. Maria Mylen Victoria Yaranon entitled “Prohibited Uses within the Right-ofWay of National Roads, City and Barangay Streets and Providing Penalties therefor;”

Proposed Ordinance No. 101-17 by Coun. Michael Lawana “Regulating the Use of Major Streets in the City of Baguio by Driving Schools in Giving Lessons and by Student Drivers in Practical Driving Instructio­ns and/or Lessons and Providing Penalties Therefor;”

Proposed Ordinance No. 144-17 by Coun. Edgar Avila “Declaring the Bill of Rights for Passengers and Pedestrian­s in the City of Baguio and for other Purposes;” and

Proposed Ordinance No. 157-17 by Councilors Benny Bomogao, Edison Bilog, Leandro Yangot Jr., Avila, Joel Alangsab, Faustino Olowan, Elmer Datuin, Yaranon and Elaine Sembrano “Regulatiin­g the Installati­on and Maintenanc­e of Distributi­on Lines of Various Utilities in the City of Baguio or the “AntiDangli­ng Wire Ordinance of the City of Baguio.”
