A Dream Come True
WHEN dream comes true, nothing is stoppable.
The Punta del Pie Class of La Trinidad is based in La Trinidad Central School which aims to bring classical ballet close to the hearts of the community in the Province of Benguet. This is affiliated to Tiptoe Ballet Coaching in La Union that offers an on-call tutorial service for ballet, contemporary, and jazz based on the curriculum program of Australian Teachers of Dancing, Ltd. (ATOD) which is an active international group for ballet enthusiasts. Its curriculum is categorized into 8 levels depending on the child’s age. The curriculum aims to offer a quality and dynamic ballet curriculum program especially designed for the children of La Trinidad, Benguet that will allow them to obtain fundamental skills and techniques necessary for the attainment of excellence in the field of ballet. This ballet class would also help the children be exposed to different ballet competitions and examination both national and international.
The Punta del Pie Class of La Trinidad is handled by the very first Filipino affiliate member of ATOD, Mr. Edwin E. Vicente, who had been teaching ballet for 22 years already. This dream of having ballet class was put into realization when Mr. Vicente was introduced by Avilardo B. Leon, Ph.D. to Mr. Lesio B. Nga-ew, SPI of La Trinidad Central School.
Though the classes have already begun, enrolment is still open for interested children. You may contact the instructor through this number 09491572522 or visit La Trinidad Central School.
This dream ballet class has just started last July 2017. Through the concerted efforts of all the people involved in the ballet class, the Punta del Pie Ballet Class of La Trinidad can be the hub of passionate and outstanding ballet dancers in the Province of Benguet. Jennifer L. Balinggan, LTCS
