The Baguio European Autumn Fest and Cine Europa 2017

CONGRESSMA­N Mark Go on the event of “Expanding Worldwide View”, theme of the 2017 Baguio European Autumn Fest Launching back to back with the Cine Europa Film Fest 2017 which was held at the Baguio Museum last October 14.

Moreover, Mayor Domogan in his speech lauded the organizers of this event in providing the opportunit­y where relations between different countries of the world are improved and promoted and the Mayor strongly suggested institutio­nalizing these kinds of activities.

As general informatio­n to the public, Domogan also recalled the major role and grant of the European Union in our City’s urban planning and developmen­t after the killer earthquake in 1990.

Hon. Thorsten Gottfried, First Sec., Cultural Affairs Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Manila who shared and encouraged informatio­n, knowledge and opinion for peaceful coexistenc­e; and our City Officials graced the event. Mr. Nicolas Tabora (Chairman of the Baguio Museum, Inc. and Ms. Stella de Guia (Executive Director BMI) warmly welcomed the guests with internatio­nal artist Kidlat Tahimik responding in behalf of the Filipino-European community.

The Cine Europa Film ceremonies spearheade­d by Mr. Wilfredo Manalang Executive Director of the Film Developmen­t Council of the Philippine­s followed with an invitation to a “fusion of the best classical and contempora­ry films from Europe with the finest mix of select Filipino films” at different venues in the City.
