Baguio Country Club opens Christmas Village
VEERING away from the traditional Christmas themes the Baguio Country Club launched its "Galaxy Christmas” display.
BBC Customer Relations Officer Andrew Pinero said "The synchronized presentation of colorful LED lights and old Christmas melodies from the 1970's and 80's coupled with the artificial snow show and nativity scene is being featured this year similar to what is being done in Makati City".
The BCC Christmas Village opened October 27 and will extend until the January 7 next year will have a daily synchronized lights show and is open from 5pm until 10pm. "The newest offering this year are different items the kids will enjoy like food, different choices of candies, toys that are all for sale which is meant to be fun for them and keeping in tune with the festive holiday", said Pinero
Not deviating from their previous presentations 50% of the structures were made from recycled materials.
The preparations for this year’s Christmas Village started June which incorporated planning, design and actual building. Pinero said "The traditional Christmas tree located at the fairways of holes no.1 and 10 will formally open on November 20 this year, following the start of its setup after the launching of the Christmas Village". This year’s entrance fee for adults is 120 pesos, 50 pesos for children, 80 pesos for Senior Citizens, while Persons with Disabilities and kids 3 years old and below are free will not be charged.
Aside from the Annual Fil-Am International Amateur Golf Tournament which will start of November 28 to December 16, 2017, activities to look forward to are the traditional activities of the club such as the Advent Tree Lighting of the Candles, the lighting of the Christmas tree, and the Christmas Concert of "RJ" Ramon Jacinto.
The BCC invites the public to join them on their Halloween show called "Freaky Night" where the adults and children dress in Halloween costumes will enjoy their version of the haunted house located at the Ambassador Francisco Del Rosario Hall.
