UB Science High School holds Sportsfest
UNIVERSITY of Baguio Science High School students in a show of unity, successfully conducted the 2017 Sportsfest at the University gymnasium, October 25.
The Game of Thrones themed sportsfest featured five houses: Purple Tully, Blue Stark, Yellow Greyjoy, Green Tyrell, Red Lanister and Black Targayren with booths, mascots and a centerpiece throne and trophy for the best teams which reflect the UBSHS mission vision.
Competitions in cheerdance, search for Mr. and Ms. Sportsfest and cheers from all levels completed the annual tradition of the UBSHS fostering sportsmanship, camaraderie and discipline.
Hailed as overall champion was the Red Lanister led by Lance Angelo Lora & Erin Galadriel Ventura.
Blue Stark’s Raffaello Khan Agustin was named Mr. Sportsfest while and Altheyah Sweet Mohammed from Red Lanister was Miss Sportsfest 2017.
This year’s steering commitee aplty called the “night watch” is composed of YDT director Sergi Luis Mendoza with Ellesha Dominic Catajan, Gerwin Doguiis, Kee Irish Dulay, Anzar Berin, Zandee Yui Bulandi, Red San Pedro, Lauren Rees, Enrico Rafael Vanadero, Julienne Elizabeth Banez, Ronan Bradford Angluben, Marie Frances Espejo and Jeriel Que.
First runner up went to the Blue Stark with Hyeon Seung (Matthew) Ryu and Myvee Joanna Navarro while the second runner up was Yelllow Greyjoy led by Juan Paulo Abubo & Ivanne Cres Yabut.
Best Cheer #2 went to the Red team led by Lance Angelo Lora & Erin Galadriel Ventura while Best Cheer #3 went to Purple team led Ethan Gyzer Saong & Vi-Ann Gwyneth Ragasa.
Best Logo went to the Blue team led by Laurenze Karl Secillano while the Most Disciplined team went to the Green team led by Miguel Ernesto Luis R. Jamon and Erinn Rhayne Yzabelle Payno.
Best booth went to the Black team headed by Victor Mikhail Lucas and Aileen Joy Bulatao, best mascot went to the Blue team headed by Hans Fredrick Aragona while best cheerleader went to the Green team led by Jahrad Skye Runez.
Best cheerdance went to the Red team led by Ashley Tiffany Aian Bautista, Yesha Angelie Alimondo, Diana Rose Rimando, Kyleen Andria Zhang, Aleca Breana Dumseng, Remah Grace De Vera, Christianne Rae Nagaño, Janna Beatrix Mirandilla.
Mr. People’s Choice went to the Black team’s Rossell Edric Bernardez while the Miss People’s choice went to the Blue team’s Caitlin Therese Cheong.
The Prince and Princess of the crowd went to the Black team’s Rossell Edric Bernardez and Cailin Comerford.
Mr. Congeniality went to the Green team’s Lord Francis Raphael Gonzales while Miss Congenality went to the Red team’s Altheyah Sweet Mohammed.
Mr. Photogenic went to the Rossell Edric Bernardez while Miss Photogenic went to Altheyah Sweet Mohammed from the Black team and Red team respectively.
The Mr. and Miss Talent both came from the Red team with Joshua Daniel Los Banez and Altheyah Sweet Mohammed while Mr. and Miss Sportswear came from the Purple team with Zeick Andrei Tacay and Khan Mae Tafaleng from Yellow.
