BCPO looking for effective crime solution

THE BAGUIO City Police Office will continue to look for possible improvemen­ts in its police management and operations to keep up with their effective crime solution.

"Even if we scored an excellent rating from the National Police Commission after passing the degree of our compliance with the directives from both NAPOLCOM and PNP, there is still a need for us to enhance ourselves in order to better fight crimes," BCPO city director Senior Superinten­dent Ramil Saculles explained.

Among the areas where the city top cop sees is the need for improvemen­t on the use and access to modern equipments and the area of communicat­ions.

"As what we see to date, the speedy changes and innova- tions in technology in terms of communicat­ion equipments is needed in order for us to be at par with the would be criminals. This is an advantage where we will have the better opportunit­y to suppress them," added Saculles.

BCPO gained an important area of convergenc­e and cooperatio­n between the NAPOLCOM and PNP to attain a balance perspectiv­e for the betterment of public and police service.

This annual NAPOLCOM activity is very important as an evaluation device and control mechanism which ensures a higher level of effectiven­ess in the operation of the PNP with emphasis on the endeavor to improve," Saculles reiterated.

The result of the inspection will also be considered as basis in crafting new policies and standards for the PNP to better serve and protect the community.
