Housing forum set Nov. 4

-

FOUR government agencies are set to address land transactions and home financing issues in a forum slated later this month.

The Departments of Agrarian Reform (DAR), and Agriculture (DA), including the Land Registration Authority (LRA), and Home Development Mutual Fund (PagIBIG Fund) will address these issues affecting housing project development during a business meeting and industry forum on November 24 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Azalea Hotel in Leonard Wood Loop, Baguio City.

The forum will be conducted jointly by the Organization of Socialized and Economic Housing Developers of the Philippines (OSHDP), Inc., The Organization of Property Stakeholders (TOPS), Inc. and the Center for Housing and Independent Research Synergies (CHAIRS).

“The forum brings together housing developers, other stakeholders and allied sectors, with officers of DAR,

DA, LRA and Pag-IBIG Fund to focus on the theme: “Unlocking Perceived Bottlenecks in Housing: Streamlining Land Titling, Land Use Reclassification and Conversion, and PagIBIG Housing Loan Application and Processes,” according to Marcelino Mendoza, OSHDP national president.

Key officials from the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) and the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB) will also join the panel discussion.

“Bringing the housing business meeting and industry forum to North Luzon is in solidarity with the Duterte administration’s redirection of housing development towards the regional areas and outside the traditional centers like Metro Manila,” Bernadet Coquia, OSHDP North Luzon chapter president said.

For his part, Michael Jansen Abella, TOPS President, said the forum is also in support of the BALAI Filipino housing program, the mid-term housing strategy and platform of the Duterte administration launched last month.

Interested participants including nonmembers of OSHDP or TOPS must register up to November 17, 2017 by contacting OSHDP Secretariat at (02) 9975705/ (02) 721-0039/ (02) 994-8092, or via e-mail: oshdp11@gmail.com.

Participation fees are P1,500 for OSHDP & TOPS members, and P2,000 for non-members.
