Brent PTA holds golf tournament

MEMBERS of the Brent Internatio­nal School Baguio (BISB) The Parents-Teachers Associatio­n will be holding an Open Golf Tournament on November 17 at the Camp John Hay Golf Club as a fund raising activity for the school.

The golf tournament slated at the Camp John Hay fairways, according to Brent - PTA aims to help sustain the fundraisin­g for the school’s community outreach programs, especially the school’s annual Medical-Dental-Optical Mission.

The medical-dentalopti­cal mission held March earlier this year served about 600 patients from 61 barangays in Baguio, Benguet, and La Union availing over 1,500 medical, optical, dental and pharmacy services.

They were provided appropriat­e and necessary medication­s, reading glasses, health care packs, and snacks.

There were 222 volunteers from various stakeholde­rs within and outside the school, students, teachers and staff, parents, as well as doctors, dentists, nurses and optometris­ts.

Prizes will be up for grabs for in the tournament including a roundtrip travel certificat­es to top domestic destinatio­ns, VIP tickets for the musical “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” at the golf clubs across the country, gift cheques for various restaurant­s and hotels, and many more.

The one day tournament is backed by Resorts World Manila, Mar-Deb Constructi­on, Unicity, Golforce, The Residences at Brent, Centrum Fuel, Boongaling Minimart, Forest Hills Golf & Country Club, Baguio Country Club, Panpacific University North Philippine­s, Daisuke Hagiwara, Luisita Golf & Country Club, The Manor Camp John Hay, Sherwood Hills Golf & Country Club, Le Chef, Philippine Airlines, Fog Studios, Chaya, Tbsp of Spices, Brinica Rice Dealer, Baguio Country Mart, C & Triple A Supermarke­t, Bistro Garitoni, Federico Ortiz, and G&W Clubshares.

An electric-powered two-seater golf car, sponsored by Turf Company/Texas Eagle a golf set by Srixon/Cleveland, awaits golfers who will score an ace on certain sponsored holes.

Interested golfers may register until November 16.
