Skeletal remains found
THE La Trinidad Municipal Police Office responded to a call from Tublay cops relaying a cadaver found at Shilan lasy week.
The remains were accidentally found by June Joseph Sintol, who was looking for his younger brother earlier reported missing.
Sintol said he noticed something that resembled a human being with clothing and shoes at a ravine more or less 30 meters from the road.
Sintol then pro- ceeded at the Barangay Hall of Shilan where Barangay Tanod Richard Sicuan Besic accompanied him back to the area to confirm the skeletal remains were in the area.
Scene of the Crime Operatives were advised to process scene.
Dr. Jaime Rodrigo Leal, Medico-Legal Officer, said that the recovered skeletal remains is of a male, about 5’ 2 in height, wearing a dark jacket with hood having a printing of GS 3301 RD RAW at the front, blue maong pants, a dark t- shirt with “Irregular Liberty Caged Freedom” imprinted in front.
A pair of multi-color socks, ZR-75 shoes and money amounting to 1,600 pesos was recovered from his left back pant pocket.
A Post Mortem examination was conducted at the area where a tattoo on the left wrist, tattoo on the right leg (face of a human), and tattoo on the left leg [ letter “A” and “ICKA July 23”] were also noted.
No cause of death was determined, while the skeletal remains were brought at the Bahay Damayan Funeral Homes, Marcos Highway Baguio City for DNA Examination with the case undergoing follow up. Jonathan Llanes
