UB leads in PYAMH Academic Festival
UNIVERSITY of Baguio led other universities and colleges in the first Progressive Youth Association on Mental Health (PYAMH) Academic Festival held November 25 at the Maryheights Seminary Formation Center, Bakakeng.
Winning in the Interpretive Dance Competition and the Mental Health Quiz Bee with Joyme Regacho and Xyndi Bartolome, second place in the onthe-spot essay writing contest with Chelsea Mari S. Balicag and in the Mental Health Quiz Bee with David Peque and Jan Claire Bugnay, and third place in the Oration contest with Ric Charles Jordan M. Cayat, UB led seven other tertiary schools in the Philippine Mental Health Association (PMHA) Academic Festival promoting
mental health awareness among college students enrolled in Psychology and other allied courses.
Other winners included: On-the Spot Poster Making Contest - 1st place - Kate Ngipol of Easter College, Inc., 2nd Place - Rosie Jean G. Quesada of Benguet State University, 3rd Place- Kaycee Florence U. Calendan of Saint Louis University; Oration Contest - 1st Place- Ms. Joetter V. Farmson of the University of the Cordilleras, 2nd Place -Jacob T. Catiyan of SLU; Interpretative Dance Competition - 1st Place -UB, 2nd Place -University of the Cordilleras, 3rd Place -ECI; Onthe-Spot Essay Writing Contest 1st Place - Sherwin Kenneth Garcia of UC, 3rd Place Marialyn Dangpa of Benguet State University and Mr. Joven C. Wadwachan of Baguio Central University; Spoken Word Poetry - 1st Place Javier A. Galac of King’s College of the Philippines, 2nd Place - Alvin DC. Pangilinan of UC, 3rd Place - May Roselyn B. Lucotan of ECI; and Mental Health Quiz Bee - 3rd Place Alfie Tosloc & Elizabeth Claro of ECI.
