Hedcor remains bullish despite Sabangan bombing
EIGHT weeks after the Hedcor’s substation in Otucan Norte, Bauko, Mt. Province was bombed, Aboitizowned Hedcor is awaiting for the investigation of law enforcement agencies.
"We leave it up to proper authorities, I'm sure there are proper protocols that will go through once they find out who the real culprits are," said Hedcor senior vice president Chris Faelnar.
The bombing resulted to a P10 million loss for the company. The plant was rehabilitated last month.
"We just go through our normal operations with the other plants. We have always been confident that they will help us
protect our facilities. The communities mismo will help us protect and secure our facilities," added Faelnar.
The company also continues to expand its hydro power plant operations with its current 22 hydropower plants operating in the different parts of the country.
Earlier this year, the host Barangays Bineng, Alapang, Alno in La Trindad approved the project through the signing of memorandum of agreement paving the way for a 19 megawatt of run-ofriver hydropower technology of Bineng Combined Hydro in La Trinidad last December 5.
La Trinidad Municipal Station Chief of Police Benson Macli-ing said prior to the incident in Mt. Province the police have continuous monitoring with added security inspection in the soon to rise facility.
"We asked the stakeholders and officials regarding the beggining of the construction of Bineng combined hydro powerplant and there are no problems," added Macli-ing.
Faelnar added they are hoping that the community will aid in the security and safety of their operations as they are partners and stakeholders of the company. Lauren Alimondo
