Baguio adjusts barangay health center assignment­s

THE CITY Government bred the new area assignment­s of the 16 health centers catering to the different barangays in the city.

In Administra­tive Order No. 195-207, Mayor Mauricio Domogan directed the readjustme­nt of the socalled barangay “catchment areas” of the 16 centers to correct the disparity in the old assignment­s of health workers and make them more comparable in terms of population, land area and number of barangays.

This will also enable the health workers to have easier access to the different barangays.

The new barangay clusters are:

Asin Health Center: San Luis Village, San Roque Village and Asin Road (Part I) with a total population of 21,552;

Atab Health Center: Asin Road (Part II), Bakakeng Central, Dontogan, Sto. Tomas Proper, Sto. Tomas School Area, Bakakeng Norte, SLU-SVP Housing Village and Sto. Rosario with 35,098 population;

Atok Trail: Atok Trail, Fort Del Pilar and Kias – 10,610;

Aurora Hill: Ambiong, Aurora Hill North Central (part 1), Bayan Park Village, Bayan Park West (Bayan Park), Brookspoin­t, Lopez

Jaena, San Antonio Village, Trancovill­e (Par 2), Aurora Hill Proper (Malvar-Sgt. Floresca), Aurora Hill North Central (part 2), Aurora Hill South Central (part 1), Bayan Park East, Brookside, Modernsite East and Modernsite West – 20,349;

Campo Filipino: Andres Bonifacio (Lower Bokawkan), Campo Filipino (part 2), Cresencia Village, Guisad Village, Guisad Surong, Camp Allen, Lower Magsaysay (part 1), Upper Market Subd. (part 1), Padre Burgos and Padre Zamora – 16,168;

City Camp: City Camp Central, City Camp Proper, Gen. Emilio F. Aguinaldo (Lower Quirino Magsaysay), Lourdes Subd. Ext. (part 1), Lourdes Subd. Lower, Upper QM, Lower, Middle and Upper Rock Quarry, Dominican Hill-Mirador, Kayang Ext., Lourdes Subd. Ext., Lourdes Subd. Proper, MRRQueen of Peace, Palam Urbano, Balsigan, Ferdinanc (Happy Homes, Campo Sioco), Imelda R. Marcos, Harrison-Claudio Carantes, Kabayahina­n, KayangHill­top, LegardaBur­hnam-Kisad, Malcolm SquarePerf­ector (Jose Abad Santos), Rizal Monument Area, Salud Mitra and Session Road Area – 33,493;

Mines View: Lucnab, Mines View Park, Outlook Drive, Pucsusan, Country Club Village and Happy Hallow – 10,548;

Pacdal: Pacdal, St. Joseph Village, Gibraltar and Lualhati – 19,366;

Pinsao: Guisad Central, Pinsao Pilot Project, Pinsao Proper, Dizon Subd. and Pinget -- 22,477;

Quezon Hill: Campo Filipino,(part1), Middle Quezon Hill Subd., Quezon Hill Proper, Upper Quezon Hill, Victoria Village and Fairview Village – 20,412;

Quirino Hill: Camdas Subd. and East, West, Lower and Middle Quiriino Hill;

Scout Carrio: Lower and Upper Dagsian, Gabriela Silang, Hillside and Scout Barrio – 8,085;

Engineers Hill: BalMarcovi­lle, Cabinet Hill-Teachers Camp (part 2), DPS Area, Enginners Hill, South Drive, Camp 8, Greenwater Village, Military Cut-off, Poliwes, Sta. Escolastic­a, BGH Copound, Phil-Am and San Vicente – 25,696;

Irisan: Irisan and San Carlos Heights – 30,507;

Loakan: Camp 7, Apugan-Loakan, Liwanag-Loakan and Loakan Proper – 27,599; and

Lucban: ABCR (part 1), Magsaysay Private Road, Lower Magsaysay (part 2), New Lucban, Slaughterh­ouse Area, T. Alonzo, A. Tabora, Happy Homes, North and South Sanitary Camp, Trancovill­e (part 1), ABCR (part 2), Cabinet Hill-Teachers Camp (part 1), Lower and Upper Gen. Luna, Holy Ghost Ext., Holy Ghost Proper, Honeymoon, Imelda Village, Kagitingan, M. Roxas, AZKCO and Bagong Lipunan – 40,832.

The health centers will be grouped to have equitable sharing of clients: Asin and Quezon Hill health centers with a population of 41,964; Aurora Hill and Quirino Hill, 31,992; Atok Trail and Loakan Health Centers, 38,209; Engineers Hill and Scout Barrio, 33,781; Campo Filipino and Pinsao, 38,645; and Mines View and Pacdal, 29,914.

Atab, City Camp, Irisan and Lucban will be stand-alone health centers in view of the large number of population they are catering to. Aileen Refuerzo
