The beauty vice

DOyou know what it feels like being u b j e c t to early morning rush each and every weekday morning? It’s not something I’m proud of, and almost 20 years into family life I still wonder why I have not mastered this whole procedure. Parenthood is the most awesome thing, but also the most demanding of jobs, and sometimes I feel disappointed with myself that I have not yet mastered the whole thing. Oh well, I guess that’s one of those challenges that just keeps me going every day, and which also makes life much more meaningful.

So every morning after the sugar rush brought about by my brewed coffee (a unique blend we call “Overheard French” – background story in another chat), I find myself moving from one room to the next the quietest manner possible, so as not to awaken our little prince who will also gladly share in the ruckus. By the time everything’s set and I get to sit at the passenger’s seat of hubby’s car on the way to school and thereafter, work, my next routine would be to reach out for my kikay kit and put on makeup. Hubby’s sweet enough to install a really pretty vanity mirror in the car which makes it really easy for me to do my morning ritual on the way to work, part of the limited me-time I get during the day.

Once that routine starts, the weariness slowly slips away, and once that perfect lippy is applied, the day just gets brighter. I can’t help but divulge my latest fab find and now ultimate favorite set of lipsticks from Vice Cosmetics Group. Matte lippies are the in-thing now, and this is a fab Philippine brand (yes from the legendary Vice Ganda’s makeup line) which equates – if not surpasses – those famed (now for me overrated) lines of matte lippies like Kylie and Colourpop, not just because of its quality and lovely shades, but because of its cost. To use the terminology of Vice: kabog silang lahat. I got my own Colourpop Trio Lip kits more than a year ago and although I have loved them for so long Vice’s line has given them really tough competition in my vanity kit.

To date, Vice’s line has come up with a total of 24 shades all perfect for the range of Filipina skin tones. They come in packages you can get for a steal of P3,800 (free delivery for orders over P500) which you can share with all kikays you want to share the gift of Ganda with. Single lippies cost P195, while lip kits that come with a lippy and a liner cost P295. It’s a steal, I tell you.

Sorry, I’m gushing, as this has gotten my pulse racing. Time to grab yours now: https:// www.vicecosmetics.com.ph/ #Gandaforall (serendipity.couch@gmail.com )
