164 BSP of Mankayan attended 47th council scout jamboree

THE 47th council scout Provincial Jamboree was held at the municipality of Kapangan on January 23 to 27 participated by the different BSP of the 13 municipality of Benguet. The municipality of Mankayan have 164 participants composed of Boy Scout, scouters and senior scout. The highlight of the activity is in line with the theme “World Scout Environment Program “.

The aim of the activity was successfully achieved since the boy scout and senior scout were able to understand environment awareness by strengthening the practice of good turns as a means of instilling social responsibility. Appreciation of the environment and natural resources, enhancement of knowledge and scout skills and fostering camaraderie among scouts through meaningful and challenging physical activities.

The program of activities was simultaneously done from 2327; where in the 23 is the arrival and registration of participants, 24th is the welcome night of the visitors and participants with a welcome program in the evening. 25th is the sub campfire and the by district. 26th is the grand campfire as a momentous event that serves as culminating activity where scouts and scouters gather together to share and strengthen friendship, and 27th is the break camp home sweet home.

During the opening of the activity the chairman of the scouts of Kapangan district stated that the place might not be a place where it is expected as a paradise but never the less it is a venue where the scout could enhance and practice the scout skills.

As reiterated by the PSDS of Kapangan district during the closing in his speech that out of how many scouts and senior scouts it was observe that most of the activities were participated but there were some who still didn’t understand the purpose of the activities as it seems they were come what me.
