-

THEY always say that hair is our crowning glory and the weapon for having a killer smile is our teeth. If you don’t have a complete teeth, you’re hesitant to give your best smile since there’s somewhat hindering you in doing so. If you didn’t brush your teeth, you’re afraid in opening your mouth wide thinking that there might be something left in your teeth.

That is why many people spent thousands of pesos just to their teeth, hoping it will look shiny and beautiful.

But when you look to some of our fellow Cordilleran’s, what do you observe especially when they show their killer smile?

Chewing of momma is one of the Cordillera’s cultural tradition. Folks gather together after a day’s work and because of belief that their bodies will become warm and their teeth will get strengthened, they chew momma. Today, some chew momma thinking that they might look cool. Others may think they will get a red kissable lips if they chew momma. While some still think that their teeth become strong and still others think brushing may not be needed if they will just chew momma.

But researchers revealed that chewing momma has many health risks. Chewing momma does not make the teeth strong but it will actually the cause of tooth decay and mouth cancer. Think of your teeth as gold and treasure it.

Another one, when you look around the city, there are many red stains right? Visitors might wonder why every corner of the city painted with red is. Unknown to them, this was caused by the ‘momma boys’ spitting anywhere giving unsanitary environments looking the place disgusting and smelly. Some are using bottles of summit, absolute, C2 and other drinking bottles but it’s no use because they just throw anywhere. So guys, watch out in picking up bottles, if you’re not that lucky, you might end up in picking the red ones…

So, want to have a killer smile and sanitary environment? Better not chew momma! Argyle A. Lasbacan
