Pitpitunge vows down to Al Daaja in Brave 10

-

CRISANTO Pitpitunge's bid for another shot at a world title got dashed after suffering his sixth loss during the weekend.

The fighting police officer of the Police Regional Office - Cordillera and Team Lakay suffered a first round defeat via a rear naked choke against Jalal Al Daaja in their bantamweight match-up during Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises held in Amman, Jordan.

It was a sorry loss for the former PXC bantamweight champion after promising victory in October last year against Ralf Noy Francisco of D' Elements MMA in the main event of Team Lakay Championship 14 at the Baguio Convention Center.

Pitpitugne suffered his sixth loss against nine wins where he had to buck an 18 month lay off before seeing action in October last year.

In the main event,

Elias Boudegzdame defeated Jakub Kowalewicz by submission (triangle choke) in round four to defend his featherweight title in the Middle East MMA promotions.

In the co-main event, Jarrah Al Selawe and David Bear fought a back and forth battle which would have ended in split decision. However, in the final seconds of the bout, Al Selawe trapped Bear in a triangle choke and won the high octane bout by submission thereby claiming his shot at the welterweight championship at Brave.

Jordan’s rising sensation Abdul Kareem Al Selwady dominated three rounds of action against Charlie Leary in front of a crowd that went wild supporting the hometown hero before winning the lightweight bout by unanimous decision.

Tahar Habdi settled scores with Fakhreddine by winning the welterweight bout by TKO.

Brave 10 was the biggest fight night in the Middle East and North Africa.

Brave 11 meanwhile is set to host its third edition in Brazilian soil as the promotion readies to make its debut in Belo Horizonte on April 13.

The show will feature an interim Lightweight title fight between veteran Lucas Martins and prospect Luan Santiago.
