Back load to Bacolod

Ihave been most fortunate to be included to play for Baguio Country Club in the Philip pine Airlines Interclub. An initial group of 10 is required. However due to some unexpected schedules for one, Juan is asked if he would like to take part as a replacement.

Even for this, previous schedules were also moved, thus Juan finds himself available for it for the first time. Every time during this time I would have been away. Not this time. So too with this tournament, it was moved later to this date. Fortunate for me.

I haven't played much golf in years. I would rather run or hike the streets or the mountains. But shy for the golf course. It just takes too much time. However since my inclusion I have been asked to practice and play more often.

I am assured and with no pressure to play. I am only a replacement anyway. Number 10 of 10. Thats the back of the pack. That's just fine with me. However I too am playing better, ever since I took it seriously.

Another player has just recently had a medical issue and has opted to not play. For this I will be number nine of 10. Still in the back amongst those who will play. Out of the 10 players, only 8 will be counted officially. Oh no that still leaves me at the back of the pack. It would have been better if there was two of us. Now there shall only be one.

The trip back home will surely be all about the Juan at the back that did not count. I pray that it will not be me. Remember we are the reps for the club, supposedly the best for it too.

During practice I have earned my fair share. I have played better and better every time. Even in Bacolod, while I would opt to stay at the back of the bus, plane or taxi, even for hotel arrangements and food I will be at the back of the list. I don't mind. As I mentioned I am just fortunate to be included.

I also will be at the back seat for all of this. Even before leaving through Kennon Road, I was the last to be picked up, since I live nearest it. Not the driver this time. The back seat it will be.
