373 newlypromo­ted PROCOR cops take oath

SOME 373 newly promoted cops of the Police Regional Office Cordillera simultaneo­usly took their oath administer­ed by Police Regional Office Cordillera regional director Chief Superinten­dent Edward Carranza.

Most of the newly promoted police were commission­ed officers from the different provinces and Baguio City, as well as those noncommiss­ioned officers assigned at the Baguio City Police Office and Benguet Police Provincial Office.

Carranza congratula­ted the newly promoted personnel and was confident for them to make a difference.

"Let us all be involved in the fight against lawlessnes­s, double your efforts, and exercise your police functions with utmost courtesy and discipline worthy of your ranks," Carranza said.

Medals and certificat­es were awarded to the members of the promotion boards headed by deputy regional director for administra­tion Senior Superinten­dent R’win Pagkalinaw­an, regional chief directoria­l staff S/Supt. Emmanuel Peralta, and RMFB 15 force commander S/Supt. David Peredo Jr.

In recognitio­n of the efforts in meticulous­ly screening the promotable personnel, certificat­es of appreciati­on were given to the National Police Commission.

Promoted personnel consisted of five chief inspector, eight senior inspector, 38 inspector, two senior police officer 4, 29 SPO3, two SPO2, 124 SPO1, 97 police officer 3 and 68 PO2.

The donning and pinning of ranks is done simultaneo­usly in all other police provincial offices of Abra, Apayao, Ifugao, Mt. Province and Kalinga to acknowledg­e the achievemen­ts of the promoted personnel.

The promoted personnel undergone the rigid screening which include the qualificat­ion standards such as time in grade, education, training and eligibilit­y, seniority, individual performanc­e evaluation rating awards, post graduate degree, interview, drug test, and work behavior and performanc­e appraisal.
