Ifugaos commit to relaunched anti-drug campaign
LAGAWE, Ifugao -More than 600 individuals from various government and non-government organizations committed to support the government’s antidrug campaign during the re-launching of the “Tokhang II” of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Led by Superintendent Allan Guyguyon of the Ifugao Police Provincial Office, the participants promised to voluntarily commit themselves to support the program.
“We want to live in a drug-free and just society where it is safe to live, work and do business, thereby it is our fundamental responsi- bility to fight against the menace of society,” they pledged.
They also committed to cooperate and be partner for change to get rid of this country from the perils of ille-
gal drugs not only for their families but for the future generations. Its success requires a great responsibility which they can help by maintaining themselves and their families as drug-free individuals.
Rosemarie Lindawan, Provincial Government’s Chief Administrative Officer who represented the governor during the event, thanked the participants who joined the momentous event.
“This program of the government really needs all the help we can get from the community as they are closest to the people whom we pledged to serve and protect,” she said. PIA – CAR
