Baguio cops score anew against criminals

SEVEN individual­s were arrested in three separate occasions by the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) for various offenses.

On March 19, Arthur Mendez of #16 Lingahan, Malanday, Valenzuela City was arrested for theft by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Maria Clarita Casuga-Tabin, Municipal Trial Court in Cities, First Judicial Region, Branch 4 Baguio City.

Joint operatives of the Mobile Police Unit, Civilian Intelligen­ce Unit (CIU), and BCPO Station 7 under the supervisio­n of Inspector Sibly Pak-ew Dawiguey Jr. served the warrant of arrest docketed under Criminal Case No. 133793 with recommende­d bail bond of P12,000.

Mendez was earlier arrested on March 15 in Bulacan by personnel of Baliwag Police Station before he was brought to the city.

Also on March 19, BCPO Station 5 head Chief Inspector John Banagcaway­an Cayat Jr. led the arrest of a female suspect from Tuba, Benguet wanted for estafa.

According to the police report, the female suspect has six cases of estafa with a recommende­d bail bond of P180,000.

On March 20, joint operatives of BCPO Stations 1, 4, 5 and 9 led by Chief Inspector Eddie Bongotan Bagto served another warrant of arrest to a female wanted from estafa at the Baguio City Public Market. The lady suspect however posted bail amounting to P100,000.

Another female suspect from Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya wanted

for estafa was collared by elements of the BCPO Station 10 with bail bond recommende­d at P2,000.

However, the accused presented an order from the court of the agreement by both parties for the provisiona­l dismissal of the case.

Charged for the crime of rape through sexual assault is Jake Joniel Mendoza Marinas aka ‘Jake Jake and Kusi.’ Marinas is the second top most wanted person under station level who was pinned down on March 21 at Magsaysay National High School, New Lucban.

Joint operatives of Mobile Police Unit, CIU, City Investigat­ion Detection Management Unit (CIDMU) and Station 5 led by Superinten­dent Sibly Pak-ew Dawiguey Jr. arrested Raprap Quezada of Lower Rock Quarry, a promo dicer in Km. 4, La Trinidad, Benguet for qualified theft with a recommende­d bail bond of P200,000.

A unemployed female was also busted on March 21 at Lower Magsaysay by virtue of a warrant of arrest for bigamy with a recommende­d bail of P24,000

The arrest was led by BCPO Station 2 deputy commander Inspector Andres Coronel Alcantara, CIDMU, and CIDG Baguio.
