Kalinga dads push for infra dev’t

TABUK City, Kalinga - The provincial board is one with the provincial chief executive in taking bold steps in pursuing the “Build Build Build” program of the Duterte Administra­tion.

Vice Gov. James Edduba said several measures were approved by the Sanggunian­g Panlalawig­an (SP) in support to the infrastruc­ture build-up of the country covering road networks, vertical structures, expanding transport franchise including non-infrastruc­ture components.

There are requests for the Department of Tourism to allocate P200 million for the improvemen­t of Dugpa-Bayao-Taga tourism road and to the Department of Agrarian Reform through Sec. John Castricion­es for the appropriat­ion of P100M for the constructi­on of Ileb, Nambaran-DilagDagup­an farm-tomarket road (FMR).

Another is a request to Pres. Duterte through Dr. Elsa Timbreza of the Hugpong Federal Movement of the Philippine­s to allocate P100M for the improvemen­t of the DupliganAl­lubagggan-CudalBanne­ng FMR.

A proposal was also submitted to the Department of Public Works and Highways through Sec. Mark Villar to provide funds for the improvemen­t of Cudal-Calaccad barangay road.

On vertical infra, there is a request for funding to the Department of Education through Usec. Alain Del Pascua for the constructi­on of 101 classrooms in the municipali­ties of Pinukpuk, Balbalan and

Tinglayan.

Gov. Jocel Baac approved said proposals as they are identified in the local developmen­t plan in support to the agricultur­al developmen­t of the province while that on school buildings to raise the quality of education among school children.
