Peaceful barangay Bulalacao election

FINAL decision has been released by the government to push through the synchroniz­ed barangay election for barangay officials and barangay SK chairman after suspending it for almost 2 years. The Philippine President gave the green signal to conduct the said election nationwide last May 14, 2018.

Bulalacao, Mankayan, Benguet conducted the said barangay election for barangay officials and SK Officials honesty and peacefully for the given date at the different precincts. There were 5 precincts in barangay Bulalacao, two precincts at Ca-ew Elementary School, two precincts at Bulalacao Elem. School and one precinct at Cotcot Primary School.

The candidates of the barangay election were given nine days to campaign from May 412, 2018. Last April 30, they had their briefing at Dangwa Hall, Mankayan, Benguet. In the first campaign they have group campaign from May 4-6, the comelec presented the candidates at Bulalacao Elementary School on May 7, then they had their individual campaign from May 8-12.

There were four new and one graduated barangay councilman a total of five candidates for barangay captain, six incumbent and 8 new or a total of 14 candidates for barangay councilmen and for candidates for SK chairmen, with all their efforts and patients to convince the people in the barangay to gain to their votes. Only selected candidates have now a sit in the barangay to serve their constituen­ts.
