Igorota outpoints opponent
FORMER Philippine female minimum weight champion Jessebelle Pagaduan bucked a one year and six month hiatus to resume her winning ways in Bangkok, Thailand.
Pagaduan who hails from Buguias, Benguet, earned his 10th win in 12 fights after edging Saranyaphong Theinthong via unanimous decision at Ram 100 Thai Boxing Stadium in Ramkamhaeng, Bangkok on July 7.
The win marked Pagaduan’s ring return after she last saw action in January 2017 also scoring a unanimous decision win against Christine Latube whom she also beat in 2015 in La Trinidad, Benguet.
After her back to back wins two years apart, the 33 - year – old looker took another
rest for more than a year before taking on her Thai opponent in the fight card hatched by Highland Boxing Promotion of Brico Santig in association with Thai boxing promoter Supanat Chanram.
Pagaduan emerged in the women’s boxing scene in 2012 scoring a technical knockout against Kim Actub in her debut follwed by another TKO win against Lady Love Sampiton five months after her first bout.
The lefty 33 - year old scored six successive victories including another TKO against highly touted Carleans Rivas for the vacant Philippines Games & Amusement Board female minimum weight title in 2013.
Her lone defeat came in the hands Nao Ikeyama in 2014 yielding to a unanimous decision loss, but since then, has racked up four straight wins and one draw.
