ORE needy communities in Baguio City including outside the Summer Capital will be given a helping hand with the stronger partnership between the Rotary Club of Metro Baguio District 3790 and Rotary Club of Hadano Naka Japan District 2780.

After signing into an agreement for the implementation of a water pipeline project that will transport clean water to a barangay in Baler, Aurora through the efforts of Rotarian Audrey “Olay” Sungduan of RCMB and RC of Hadano Naka Director Shingo Komaki with wife Rotary Ann Yahney Rudan, the two international service clubs have ventured into another priority project.

Their collaboration with the number one radio network in the locality Bombo Radyo Philippines’ DZWX and Star FM resulted in providing the necessary health services to at least 2,000 beneficiaries.

Dubbed Bombo Medico: Medical, Dental, and Optical Mission, the program implemented on July 8 in Baguio City helped improved the health and lives of the underprivileged sectors including the senior citizens who have limited or no access to the most basic medical health and necessities of life.

Committed to continue serving the humanity, RCMB and RC of Hadano intend to have more project partnerships in line with the RI theme for 2018-2019 “Be the Inspiration” under the leadership of RI President Barry Rassin.

These intended projects support RI president’s appeal for immediate action in addressing the environmental issues affecting the health and welfare of people around the world.

Life among the most disadvantaged group in the society will be better with the help of the Rotary Clubs joining forces to provide the needed services and programs empowering the community groups. May there be more Rotarians who will inspire change in the world.
