BM Namoro gives words of challenge to SES officers
“ANIA ngay met ti maaramidak para iti idudor-as ti ilik?” (What can I do for the development of my place?)
This was the challenge posted by District II Board Member Robert M. Namoro after inducting the officers of the school’s lead organizations and delivering his message during the Mass Induction Program at Sapid Elementary School (SES), Mankayan on July 4.
He began his speech using the stick broom as illustration to emphasize the power of unity in every organization since this produces strength among the officers and members to work harmoniously for the development of the school that usually includes all its stakeholders.
He also stressed the importance of education coupled with a reminder that parents should sacrifice and save even a single centavo just to send their children to school. “Support your children and always monitor them at school, be sure that they are really attending their classes,” he added.
The challenge given was responded with a loud applause by the newly elected officers of the different school’s organizations/clubs composed of all subject areas including Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of the Philippines, K-6 Homeroom PTA, School Federated PTA, and the School Governing Council (SGC) which is the policy making body of the school.
This school year’s SGC officers are composed of the following: Chairperson, Municipal Councilor Aldrin S. Camiling; Deputy Chairperson, Dennis P. Mayam-es; Secretary, Jovelyn C. Cayapa; Assistant secretary, Evelyn A. Mendoza; Treasurer, Juliet S. Lumedio; Auditor, Jessica B. Evangelista; Parents Development Committee chairperson, Emelita C. Pakilo; SES Alumni Development Committee chairperson, Rod S. Dalmo; Documentation Committee chairperson, Avery Keith B. Malingan; Health Development Committee chairperson, Mercedes G. Bautista; Pupils Academic Achievement and Discipline Committee chairperson, Rosalinda T. Sabit; Spiritual Development Committee chairperson, Andres M. Baniaga; Environmental Protection Committee and Waste Management Committee chairperson, Junny B. Calapen; Sports Development Committee chairperson, Manuel I. Depigen; Peace Order Committee chairperson, Rudy B. Lugao; and Chief Executive Officer at the same time the Staff and Curriculum Development Committee chairperson, Delia M. Bandao, the school head of SES.
For the school Federated Parents and Teachers Association, it is still headed by the incumbent in the person of Emelita C. Pakilo while Avery Keith B. Malingan also leads the Supreme Pupil Government.
Meanwhile, besides Namoro, Councilor Camiling thus inspired the other officers when he was given the opportunity to talk. He narrated his observation on the behavior of the ants as they carry the dead cockroach. “We, as parents, are emulated by our children so let us be a model to them,” he ended.
