Cadavers discovered in Baguio

TWO cadavers were found during the onset of heavy rains over the weekend in Baguio City.

In the morning of August 11, a lifeless body of an unidentified male was discovered near the Bunrham skating rink main entrance.

The victim was wearing black slacks pants which was pulled down exposing his butt, black socks, black leather shoes, gray jacket with hood, and white t-shirt.

Based on a police report, the body was found when the caretaker of the skating rink identified as Christopher Ibañez Lagario, 32 and resident of No. 47 Governor Pack Road saw the body of the victim which prompted him to call authorities.

Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) Team led by Police Senior Superintendent Rodrigo Leal processed the crime scene and recovered a plastic transparent lunch box with blue lid, one blue canister, destroyed pink umbrella, and a black Quartz wristwatch.

The cadaver was later brought to La Paz Funeral Homes for autopsy examination.

The victim was later identified as Jeffrey Jalimao, single, 29, with known address at No. 200 Carantes street, Brgy. Camp 7, Montecillo, Baguio City.

Police Station 7 is still awaiting the autopsy report of the victim to determine the exact cause of his death while a thorough investigation is being undertaken by investigators to identify the perpetrators.

On August 12, garbage collector Dominador Caranza discovered a male dead body wearing a brown

t-shirt, black denim pants, and black rubber shoes placed inside a black garbage bag while collecting garbage along Lower Magsaysay Avenue beside New Norman Trading and fronting JMZ Construction Supply.

Responding personnel of Police Station 2 and SOCO led by Leal and Chief Inspector Juliet Albon processed the scene and initially said the cause of death was due to the sustained stab wound on his right arm pit and two punctured wounds at his back.

The cadaver’s chest were written with “akyat bahay and mando’.

A piece of paper recovered inside the plastics bag bared the markings of ‘mando ako, who’s next, your next, hehehe.’

Recovered from the cadaver’s body are one blue sling bag, pink lighter, several coins, black wallet containing four Malaysian Dollar, one 2,000 Indonesian dollar, and one 10 Indian dollar.

The identity of the male cadaver is still unknown and was brought to La Paz Funeral Homes, Naguillan Road, Baguio City awaiting for autopsy and identification.
