-

JOHN HAY Management Corporation (JHMC), a member of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), expects to automate its regulatory processes this year.

With the BCDA subsidiaries, JHMC will be second from Clark Development Corporation (CDC) to issue regulatory permits thru online processing.

The issuing departments of these regulatory permits are Environment and Asset Management Department (EAMD), Office of the Building Official, and the Special Economic Zone Administration Department (SEZAD).

Addressing the locators during a meeting, Allan Garcia, JHMC President and CEO said JHMC, through the initiative of the SEZAD and in collaboration with the Information and Communications Technology Division (ICTD) formulated the project which analyzes and develops the automation of the processing system of the frontline services of the corporation.

“This technology is user-friendly and functional. It will help you track and manage your transactions in a manner that right information shall be given to the right people in real time enabling an efficient process flow and decision making,” Garcia explains.

On the other hand, Zaldy Bello, SEZAD manager said the automation is a commitment of JHMC to further streamline the process flow indicated in its Citizen’s Charter.

To date, there are 113 locators doing business inside the economic zone. The businesses vary from food, business processes outsourcing (BPO), financial, and retail. With the automation, permits and other business processes requested from JHMC in compliance with the law, may be conveniently processed by each locator anytime of the day, wherever they are and their requests are acted upon immediately thereafter.

The automation is JHMC’s guarantee to all its stakeholders that it is serious in its objective to safeguard their rights and interests hence, the corporation wants to eradicate doubts of graft and corruption if not totally prevent it since, , faceto-face interactions between JHMC officers and clients are limited.

Further, it is also the first step to integrate all government processes

into one. JHMC aims to link the system to other agencies and maximize online application which advance technology offers.

Meanwhile, Garcia reassures all locators that, under his leadership, JHMC continually commits to protect and uphold their interest. He further encourages them to share the vision of the corporation to transform Camp John Hay as the primary catalyst for tourism development in the Cordillera Region.

The JHMC is faithful with the mandate of the present administration to full disclosure and transparency in public service and its commitment to ethical business practices and good corporate governance.
