Welder found dead in Baguio City, 1 unidentifi­ed recovered in Kapangan

A BODY of a welder was found hanging inside a house while a still unidentifi­ed male person was discovered in Kapangan, Benguet.

In the morning of October 5 in the morning, Bernabe Herano Aquino a.k.a. Abe, 46 – years – old, welder, and resident of Purok 6 Fairview Extension, Baguio City, was seen hanging at the 2nd floor of a house under-

going renovation at Number 45,Ayala Street, Barangay Sto.Niño, Slaughter Compound.

The incident was reported by Brando Balajadia, the chief of the barangay peace keeping action team.

Investigat­ion disclosed one of the tenants identified as Maricel Atizado Tuzon, 21, discovered the body and immediatel­y reported to village chief Camilo Tacbas, who instructed his chief tanod to report the incident to the Baguio City Police Office Station 2.

The Scene of the Crime Operatives processed the scene and recovered a cable tied at the beam of the house which was knotted to the vicitim’s neck.

In Kapangan, Benguet, the body of a still unidentifi­ed male person was discovered on October 7 along Datakan-Labueg Provincial Road.

Initial investigat­ion revealed witnesses Jelfin Rufino, 22, and Marvin Luis, 29, both residents of Datakan Proper, Datakan, Kapangan, were walking towards their respective houses in the morning of October 7 when they noticed a person lying at his back

Upon approachin­g the person they noticed that he was not moving with a T-Shirt wrapped around the head which prevented them from identifica­tion the person.

They immediatel­y reported the incident to the village chief Jeffrey Marcelo who in turn reported the incident to the Kapangan Municipal Police Station.

Benguet Police Crime Lab personnel processed the crime scene and found no identifica­tion card from the cadaver.

A post mortem examinatio­n was conducted and showed the cadaver sustained punctured wounds at his left shoulder, right shoulder, right upper chest, and ligature marks at his neck.

The cadaver, who has an eagle tattoo on his right arm and sporting a golden tooth was brought to La Paz Funeral Homes, Baguio City.
