Water works system of Sayapot primary school

FROM the resolution no. 001, s. 2018, requesting the Municipal Councilors of Mankayan to source out funds for the Water Works System of Sayapot Primary School in Balili, Mankayan, Benguet, it was prioritized and was funded immediately by Mankayan LGUs. The Water Works System of the said school was funded with an amount of Php 70,000.00 and was implemented this year 2018.

Construction of the Water Work System started last October 4, 2018 and ended last October 10, 2018. It was inspected and turned over to the enduser last October 16, 2018. The school staff and pupils happily and thankfully received their big water tank.

Before, the teachers and pupils fetched water from the gardener’s water supply for cooking, drinking and washing. We use pail and drums for water storage. During rainy season, we use rain water catchment for flushing comfort rooms and washing dishes. No permanent water supply for the school. Now, we are at ease since we have a big tank that can supply the need of the school.

I am taking this opportunity to recognize our PTA President Madam Virginia C. Palubos for her sacrifices and industriousness in searching out people who will fund the project. To Honorable Denver B. Tongacan and Honorable Willie B. Mendoza, the active and supportive Municipal Councilors of Mankayan, to Honorable Dallion Baygan, the Barangay Chairman of Bedbed, Mankayan, Benguet, thank you for your generosity.
