3 nabbed for firearms, drugs

THREE individual­s were nabbed over the week and are facing charges for illegally possessing firearms and illegal drugs.

Combined operating intelligen­ce personnel of La Trinidad Municipal Police Station (MPS) and Criminal Investigat­ion and Detection Unit (CIDG)-Benguet arrested Romeo Buyyang Attaban in Kagisgis, Bineng, La Trinidad, Benguet in the afternoon of October 22.

During the serving of a search warrant, police confiscate­d one caliber .45 with two magazines, 25 ammunition­s, black holster and a gray back pack.

Meanwhile, two drug suspects were also caught in a

buy-bust operation for illegal drugs over the past week.

Operatives from the Drug Enforcemen­t Unit of Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR), La Trinidad MPS, Benguet Provincial Police Office, Regional Intelligen­ce Unit (RIU)14, and the Philippine Drug Enforcemen­t Agency-CAR arrested Brent Coniyat Bulayo, 22, at his residence in Buyagan, Poblacion, La Trinidad, Benguet in the early morning of October 17.

Evidence seized from Bulayo were two small plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, P1,000 buy-bust money, and one cellphone.

Another drug pusher identified as Ghieno Domilos Manimbao, 19, native of Tuding, Itogon, Benguet, resident of Purok 1, West Quirino Hill, Baguio City was arrested in the early morning of October 18 along Dagohoy St., Baguio City by personnel of Baguio City Police Office(BCPO) Precinct 2, Station 7.

Prior to his arrest, operatives were conducting mobile patrol when they spotted a group shouting and running which led to the arrest of the suspect.

Confiscate­d from Manimbao’s possession were transparen­t plastic containing suspected shabu, transparen­t plastic containing suspected dried marijuana leaves, a glass tube containing suspected marijuana residue and a lighter.
