Our response to the message of Pope Francis to the youth

-

WE would want to extend our sincerest gratitude to you, Pope Francis, for you unceasingly believe in us even though we, the younger generation, have lost faith in ourselves.

At present, even if the digital world has become our reality, you still insist to have faith in us. Your letter has served as a “wake up call” to make a complete gift of ourselves as missionaries.

We do believe that we have a huge role to play in this world, as you have said, “Never think that you have nothing to offer, or that nobody needs you”.

Struggles and tribulations in life are ineludible. As we journey in this life every single day, we experience trials that test our faith and trust in the Lord.

But if we look deeper into these hurdles we face daily, we will be able to realize that these struggles are somewhat God’s way of making us learn and molding us into better people.

As we are molded by God, we instigate significant contributions to the betterment of the world.

As the young people of this nation, we are called by Pope Francis to bring the Gospel to all. In response to this call, this mission therefore, will be our main purpose in life.

The citizens of our country have experienced a lot, for we have aimed for a better nation and for a better society for future generations.

Thus, we, the youth, would like to join in cultivating change in our society. The rest of this message therefore, is for the Pope—who has not given up on us, the younger generation.

We understand your purpose for writing such letter, our dear Pope, and we are definitely more inspired to proclaim the message of truth and fulfilment to our fellow brothers and sisters. Not only are we determined to do such mission, we are willing to do it in such a manner that merits infectiousness of love, joy and enthusiasm.

It is truly amazing, dear Pope, that if we look thoroughly into our own hearts, we are able to see the greatness of God that would encourage us to continually seek Him and His plan in our lives.

Love for life, love for God, love for everyone, and love for everything—this will bring peace, happiness and strength in our lives. May we use this love in the transmission of faith, so we may share the Gospel to those far from the faith, indifferent to it, or perhaps even hostile and opposed to it. Many have tried ending their lives, and some have even turned their backs from God for they lost their faith; may we share to them the true communion of life.

Thank you, dear Pope Francis, for sparking hope in our hearts that we are capable of bringing great change in our society. We would surely take every single day as a challenge to become better human beings and to generously and wholeheartedly spread the greatness of God to the ends of the Earth!
