BAGUIO College of Technology limited the Cordillera Career Development College to only 10 points in the first period en route to a 105 – 88 victory Friday afternoon at the CCDC Gym.

The BCT Atoms scored their second victory in as many games as it seeks for another finals appearance in men’s basketball of the 32nd season of the Baguio – Benguet Educational Athletic League which formally kicked off Saturday morning with Philippine men’s basketball head coach Yeng Guiao serving as guest of honor and speaker.

After taking a 12 point lead at the end of the opening canto, the Atoms pulled away in the second period, exploding for 30 huge points and never looked back as it enjoyed a 52 – 30 advantage at half time.

From then on, it was cruise control the rest of the ball game for the Harrison Road based squad enjoying an 81 – 58 lead going into the payoff canto.

Reynil Amargo led the Atoms with his team high 20 points, getting help from five others who also contributed in double digits.

Kram William Domingo, Melvin John Vinoya, and Jonathan Egid added 16 points each as Marben Asilio and Armando Pollante chipped in 11 and 10 points respectively.

It was another heart breaking loss for the Admirals who earlier fell to multi title University of Baguio Cardinals in their second game.

Eduard Trias Jr. had a game high 22 points but his effort went to naught as the La Trinidad based dribblers who won the BBEAL men’s basketball title in 2007 and 2008 fall to 1-2 after a rousing victory against the Baguio Central University Eagles.

Veterans Manuel Felix Jr. and Darwin Fernandez added 16 points each.
