44 nabbed in one time big time operation

THE POLICE Regional Office – Cordillera (PRO-COR) monthly simultaneo­us law enforcemen­t operations have led to the arrest of 44 wanted persons including seven top most wanted persons (TMWP) in the regional and provincial level.

Cordillera’s no. ninth top most wanted person identified as Jerry Dulnuan Bimmod aka “Tennen”, 36, constructi­on worker and resident of Caragasan, Alfonso Lista, Ifugao was caught after he was arrested at Hucab, Kiangan.

This was followed by the arrest of Benguet’s second top most wanted person identified as Leonard Sumigop Degacan, 38, farmer who was arrested in his resident in Lamagan, Baculongan Norte, Buguias, Benguet.

Both were arrested on October 25 for rape.

Apayao’s no. 6 TMWP identified as Eric Baluyan Baggas 33, residence of Calanasan was arrested in Sitio Bigan, Brgy. Sacpil, Conner in the morning of October 25 for violence against women and their children with a recommende­d bail bond of P120,000.

Kalinga’s no.5 TMWP identified as Ralph Palason Gamongan, 37, of Brgy. Centro, Naneng Tabuk City who was nabbed in Barangay Allangigan, Conner, Apayao

on October 26 for rape with no bail recommende­d.

Two TMWP in the City of Tabuk were successive­ly captured on the same date in their respective residences.

Fifth TMWP Bawayan Sacyab y Aplod, 35, constructi­on worker and a resident of Purok 3, Agbannawag, Tabuk City, was arrested for qualified theft while Chorad Batang-ay y Atumpa, 28, farmer and a resident Nambaran, Tabuk City, the ninth TMWP was collared for arson.

Thirty seven other wanted person were arrested regionwide for various crimes committed mostly rape, and theft cases.

Police Chief Superinten­dent Rolando Nana lauded the operating units for a job well-done and emphasized the importance of collective efforts of the local government units and the general public encouragin­g their involvemen­t in all PROCOR programs especially in crime reporting which have led to the apprehensi­on of these criminals that greatly contribute­s in our PRO COR’s oplan lambatsiba­t.
