Allied sports to spice up BBEAL season 32

AT LEAST eight allied sports will also take center stage as the second round of the centerpiec­e basketball tournament of the Baguio – Benguet Educationa­l Athletic League season 32 takes shape.

Defending champion University of the Cordillera­s will have its hands full as it open its title retention bid in baseball from November 17 to 24 at the Baguio Athletic Bowl.

Archers take aim for the top spot on November 18 and 24 at the UP Baguio Court A with UC defending the men’s crown as the University of Baguio Lady Cardinals hope to make a repeat in the women’s contest.

UB will also defend their title in men’s badminton with Saint Louis University Lady Navigators seeking title retention in the distaff side when the tournament commences on November 18 and 24 at the UB gym.

Chess will also take place on November 18 and 24 at the UB Gymnasium with the Cardinals and the Lady Jaguars eyeing to retain their titles while Sepak Takraw takes center stage on November 18 at the SLU covered court with SLU defending the crown.

The UB Cardinals will also defend the men’ and women’s swimming to be held on November 18 at the Baguio Athletic Bowl.

Taking place on November 18 and 24 is the table tennis competitio­n with UB

defending both championsh­ip in men’s and women’s.

Wushu sanshou will also be played on November 18 at Camp 7 while taulo will be played at the SLU covered court.

UB took home the title in the men’s division while UC reigned supreme in the women’s contest last year. Other participat­ing schools in the BBEAL include season host University of the Philippine­s – Baguio, Baguio College of Technology, Baguio Central University, Benguet State University, Cordillera Career Developmen­t College, Kings College of the Philippine­s, Pines City Colleges, and Philippine Military Academy.
