Al­lied sports to spice up BBEAL sea­son 32

AT LEAST eight al­lied sports will also take cen­ter stage as the sec­ond round of the cen­ter­piece bas­ket­ball tour­na­ment of the Baguio – Benguet Ed­u­ca­tional Ath­letic League sea­son 32 takes shape.

De­fend­ing cham­pion Univer­sity of the Cordilleras will have its hands full as it open its ti­tle re­ten­tion bid in base­ball from No­vem­ber 17 to 24 at the Baguio Ath­letic Bowl.

Archers take aim for the top spot on No­vem­ber 18 and 24 at the UP Baguio Court A with UC de­fend­ing the men’s crown as the Univer­sity of Baguio Lady Car­di­nals hope to make a re­peat in the women’s con­test.

UB will also de­fend their ti­tle in men’s bad­minton with Saint Louis Univer­sity Lady Nav­i­ga­tors seek­ing ti­tle re­ten­tion in the distaff side when the tour­na­ment com­mences on No­vem­ber 18 and 24 at the UB gym.

Chess will also take place on No­vem­ber 18 and 24 at the UB Gym­na­sium with the Car­di­nals and the Lady Jaguars eye­ing to re­tain their ti­tles while Sepak Takraw takes cen­ter stage on No­vem­ber 18 at the SLU cov­ered court with SLU de­fend­ing the crown.

The UB Car­di­nals will also de­fend the men’ and women’s swim­ming to be held on No­vem­ber 18 at the Baguio Ath­letic Bowl.

Tak­ing place on No­vem­ber 18 and 24 is the ta­ble ten­nis com­pe­ti­tion with UB

de­fend­ing both cham­pi­onship in men’s and women’s.

Wushu san­shou will also be played on No­vem­ber 18 at Camp 7 while taulo will be played at the SLU cov­ered court.

UB took home the ti­tle in the men’s di­vi­sion while UC reigned supreme in the women’s con­test last year. Other par­tic­i­pat­ing schools in the BBEAL in­clude sea­son host Univer­sity of the Philip­pines – Baguio, Baguio Col­lege of Tech­nol­ogy, Baguio Cen­tral Univer­sity, Benguet State Univer­sity, Cordillera Ca­reer De­vel­op­ment Col­lege, Kings Col­lege of the Philip­pines, Pines City Col­leges, and Philip­pine Mil­i­tary Academy.
