JHMC, stakeholders ink MOU on environment
JOHN HAY Management Corporation (JHMC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with top-notch universities in Baguio City, the Baguio We Want Forum-Trees and Water Cluster and Civika Knowledge Management Solutions, for Collaborative Research.
Covering all the major areas of interest between and among parties, the MOU encompasses a coherent collaboration and promotion of environmental protection and sustainable development in Baguio City, as indicated in the commitment.
“We have experienced severe disasters in the past, saddened by the issues and incidents of poverty… We recognize individual commitment in finding solutions to these issues, but together, we are a strong voice to our society, to our leader, to Baguio City, our pride," said JHMC Board of Director Chairperson Silvestre Afable, during the signing.
The MOU provides a framework of cooperation and establish a network with various organizations, government agencies and other academic institutions in addressing issues of sustainable forest management, tourism, investment, human resource management, gender and development, local governance, and water conservation.
