AFTER a very successful presentation of the Adivay London 2018 in United Kingdom organized by the Benguet Organization UK comes the plan of making the group even stronger and global.

Archie Nabus, adviser and co-founder of the said group said they intend to take a bigger leap by uniting all Overseas Filipino Workers not just in UK but around the globe to be part of a worldwide Benguet organization which he intends to form with his wife Grace.

The celebration of the occasion inspired from the famous festival in their home province was very meaningful as it was also the 10th year anniversary of the organization.

The event was highlighted by cultural presentations depicting the unique culture of Benguet and gathering of friends, families, and colleagues who continue on promoting the cultural heritage of their province even abroad.

Dubbed “Building bridges thru inter cultural relations, the festival was also attended by Benguet pride rural doctor and IP welfare advocate Dr. Ryan Guinaran who served as special guest and speaker.

Guinaran enjoined everyone to protect the identity of the Igorots and continue on promoting the culture which they are proud of.

May this undertaking of the Benguet Organization UK be realized and supported by Cordillerans especially those who trace their roots from the highland province known as the ‘Salad Bowl of the Philippines.’ As they say, there is power in unity.

ERRATUM: Benguet Organization UK was the one that gave 1,000 Pounds or 70,000 pesos to Ifugao Organisation UK and not the latter as mentioned in the column last week. Ifugao Organisation was not able to conduct solicitation for Ompong victims so Benguet Org took the lead and gave the said amount as most of those who died during the super typhoon were from Ifugao.
