Nine policemen awarded

NINE police men were conferred honors with businessma­n Engineer David Sanchez gracing the flag raising and distinguis­hed visitors program of the Police Regional Office - Cordillera.

The Medalya ng Kagalingan was awarded to Superinten­dent Radino S Belly, Senior Police Officer 2 (SPO2) Geofrey Langbayan, and SPO1 Benafin Dayucong, Jr, for the successful implementa­tion of anti- illegal drugs with a dangerous drug board value of P3,175,000 at Kayapa, Bakun and Tacadang, Kibungan, Benguet last month.

Senior Inspector Edwin Sergio, SPO1 Melvin Llanes, and SPO1 Arsenio Vidal received the same award for the successful serTHE

vice of search warrant against Jomar Barbosa Purugganan a.k.a Mamay.

This resulted in the confiscati­on of 21 pieces heat sealed transparen­t plastic sachet containing shabu with a Dangerous Drug Board value of P102,690.20; and P81,000, one Cal. 380 with one magazine containing nine ammunition and other drug parapherna­lia on February 1 at Sitio Pacpaco, Gaddani, Tayum, Abra.

Meanwhile, the Medalya ng Papuri was awarded to Inspector Nicasio Sacliwan, SPO3 Washington Kitongan and SPO2 Prudencio C Tinong for the successful arrest of Real Gold Boclongan Olsim, and Celso Bayongawan Capuyan, whose arrest resulted in the confiswith cation of seventeen (17) pieces heat sealed transparen­t plastic sachet containing shabu with a Dangerous Drug Board value of P17,043.52, one (1) Cal. 9mm Armscor, one magazine loaded with nine live ammunition and other drug parapherna­lia at Purok Datu, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga last month.

Their hard work, cooperatio­n and perseveran­ce greatly contribute­d in the accomplish­ment of the PNP mission and functions of PRO-Cor.

The guest of honor and speaker appreciate­d the men and women of PROCOR for jobs well done and being good partners in upholding the welfare of the society, and to provide genuine service to the people.
