Cordillera’s most wanted, 3 others captured

Cordillera’s top most wanted persons (TMWP) with three others were rounded up by police in a two operation in the region.

Cordillera’s no.4 TMWP and no. 1 in Tabuk City identified as Brando Baluga Rivera, wanted for carnapping was arrested in Dagupan, Tabuk City, Kalinga on September 10 by the combined operatives of Provincial Highway Patrol Unit, Criminal Investigat­ion and Detection Group(CIDG) Kalinga Provincial Mobil Force Unit(PMFU) Tabuk City Police Station(TCPS) and Provincial Intelligen­ce Bureau(PIB) Kalinga.

In Abra Province, Bangued’s no. 1 TMWP identified as Avelino Quezada Libuen Jr., 40, security guard, of Barangay Naglibacan, Malibcong who is charged for murder was caught in Sta. Filomena, San Mariano, Isabela on

September 7.

In the station level, Israel Milaor Omana, listed No. 4 TMWP of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) Station 5 was caught in Brgy. San Antonio, Guinayanga­n, Quezon Province on September 4.

He was captured by the combined police personnel of BCPO and the Guinayanga­n MPS, Quezon Provincial Police Office (QPPO ) for the crime of qualified theft with a recommende­d bail bond of P200,000.

The No. 7 TMWP identified as Irene Tuggad Secuaten was arrested at Benguet Capitol, La Trinidad, Benguet on September 2.

Secauten was arrested by personnel of BCPO Station 6 and 5, Criminal Intelligen­ce Unit(CIU) and CIDG Benguet for the crime of Estafa with a recommende­d bail bond of P20,000.

Police Brigadier General Israel Ephraim Dickson, PROCOR Regional Director commended the operating teams for displaying dedication and commitment resulting in the arrest of wanted persons adding their arrest was a result of PROCOR’s intensifie­d campaign against wanted persons under Oplan Manhunt Charlie.

Meanwhile, PRO COR has accounted 17 prisoners who were released by virtue of the Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA) surrendere­d to the different police stations regionwide, seven of whom were already turned-over to Bureau of Correction­s (BUCOR).

Dickson also encouraged those prisoners convicted of heinous crimes/offenses but released by the BUCOR under the GCTA law to submit themselves for accounting to avoid being the subject for manhunt operation after the lapse of the grace period.
