Minors, 6 others charged for illegal drugs
CAMP Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad Benguet – EIGHT drug suspects were collared in separate areas by joint operatives of the Police Regional Office – Cordillera and other drug enforcement units over the past pays.
Elpidio Acosta, 56, was arrested at Sitio Linasin, Zone 1, Bangued, Abra in the morning of November 25, while Brandon Gaddaoan, 38, was arrested at Barangay Naguillan, Sallapadan, Abra in the morning of November 22.
Acosta and Gaddaoan are considered as high value targets of the police.
During the operations, 15 pieces of heat-sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu and assorted drug paraphernalia were recovered from their possession.
Meanwhile, five persons were apprehended while two minor was taken into custody after they sold sachet of suspected shabu to an operative who posed as buyer during a buy bust operation.
Alfredo Tablada Depollo, 39, and resident of Gibraltar, Baguio City was arrested at Maharlika Livelihood Complex, Abanao St., Baguio City in the afternoon of November 22, while Michael Fulgencio Cerezo, 40, and a resident of Kayang Hilltop was arrested inside a bar in Kayang Hilltop in the night of November
20. Confiscated and recovered from their possessions were four sachets of suspected shabu, P2,000 cash and assorted drug paraphernalia.
two more high value targets identified Wensley Camora, 39, driver and Darwin Camora, 37, helper and both residents of Bahong, La Trinidad, Benguet were arrested at Talingting, Pagal, Shilan, La Trindad in the afternoon of November
21. Recovered and confiscated from their possessions were five plastic sachet of suspected shabu, P16, 000 cash and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Furthermore, a 17 and 15 year old minors, both residents of Bangued, Abra were taken into custody at Zone 6, Bangued, Abra.
Recovered and confiscated evidence were three plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, P3,120 cash, a cellular phone and assorted drug paraphernalia.
All arrested suspects are now facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
