Wondershar­e QuizCreato­r: A tool in making an interactiv­e quiz or exam for teachers

TEACHERS have various tasks in the system of developing the learners and in addressing the needs, interest, learning styles and learning experience­s of the different kinds of learners. One of their roles as facilitato­rs is the constructi­on of quizzes and exams. Almost all of the teachers prepare paper and pencil test; however, some teachers would want to find an easy material that could help them in preparing an interactiv­e and engaging quiz. This concern could be attained through the utilizatio­n of Wondershar­e QuizCreato­r.

Wondershar­e QuizCreato­r is an offline or online tool that could help the teachers in creating an interactiv­e quiz or exam. This tool introduces nine question types. Besides, teachers can put forth multimedia items such as audio file, pictures, videos, formulae and symbols in their quiz to make it more engaging and fun.

As an early educator, I was really delighted when I learned this applicatio­n software because it did not just help me in preparing and implementi­ng quizzes and exams but it also contribute­s in increasing the level of academic performanc­e of my learners. I usually use the interactiv­e quiz being published by this tool as remediatio­n and enrichment of the learners which could be implemente­d during or after class. This could also be one activity during the applicatio­n of differenti­ated instructio­n strategy. The interactiv­e quiz being published by this tool even motivates the learners to enjoy answering it. Because of these influences, I continued making interactiv­e quizzes using this applicatio­n software especially in English, mathematic­s and Mother Tongue-Based Multi-lingual Education subjects.

As a further matter, the tool’s feature that I appreciate the most is the impact of the audio file. This key feature helps me in facilitati­ng the interactiv­e quiz because some of my grade 1 learners can’t read well. With this essential piece, the non-reader learners would just play the audio file of the questions and choices for how many times.

I really encourage teachers to make an interactiv­e quiz using this tool. It could really contribute in making their work easier. Teachers could also make an action research about this tool to investigat­e its effectiven­ess to the performanc­e of the learners with different learning styles.
