Three schools participate in school camping
“Better late than never.”
THOUGH Scouting Month is over, Tuding Elementary School, Baguio Gold Elementary School and Alejo M. Pacalso Elementary School conducted the school camping at Tuding Elementary School on Nov. 29 to Dec. 1.
128 boy scouts and girl scouts with 16 troop leaders participated in this three-day activity.
There were different activities that were done such as investiture, mountain climbing, basic knot tying, basic bandaging and campfire. The scouts were able to show willingness to help and to learn through active participation in the different activities.
Fire officers Ryan Santos, Jerwin Ganga, Jan Aldrin Zambrano and Sandy Perdido of
Itogon Fire Station had discussed the basic knot tying and basic bandaging to the scouts. The pupils actively participated during the lecture and return demo.
During the campfire, the different scouts showed their God-given talents through dancing, singing and acting.
Another highlight of the campfire was the search for Ms. GSP and Mr. BSP 2019. Calvin Cassie Liano was pinned with a sash as the Mr. BSP and Henesse Abrielle Esguerra was pinned also with a sash as Ms. GSP. Vera Lyn Biswek and Cean Wayne Puchacan were awarded as the firstrunner up while Shanara Parrocha and Christian Q. Caasi Jr. were pinned as the second runner-up.
This school activity enables the scouts to show their God-given talents as well as their self-confidence will be boosted.
